Fed: Howard offers nations hopes for trapped miners

JOHN HOWARD has offered his support for the three men trapped in a gold mine near Launceston.

The prime minister says the nation is anxious about the three miners and says we can
only hope and pray that they are recovered in good health.

The men haven't been heard from since last night .. when an earthquake triggered a
rock fall at the Beaconsfield gold mine .. about 40 k's from Launceston.
