FED: Mourners remember Glenbrook victims

Seven candles are flickering at the Granville rail disaster memorial to remember victims
of last week's Blue Mountains train crash.

Twenty-two years apart, the rail tragedies have united New South Wales communities
at Glenbrook and Granville where seven and 83 people were killed respectively.

Among the mourners, a young couple who were travelling in the intersuburban train behind
the lead carriage which slammed into the back of the luxury Indian Pacific last Thursday.

Lieutenant Colonel DON WOODLAND from the Salvation Army conducted the highly emotional service.

Organiser JOHN HENNESSY said emergency workers joined family and friends connected
with both rail disasters to let mourners know they are not alone.
