Fed: Third Australian accused of al-Qaeda links
A third Australian man accused of having links to the al-Qaeda terrorist organisationhas been captured in Pakistan.
Consular officials are seeking access to the 29-year-old detained in Karachi by Pakistanauthorities on January 4.
The man is the third Australian to be detained overseas on suspicion of having al-Qaedalinks, with Adelaide man DAVID HICKS and Sydney man MAMDOUH HABIB being held in the UnitedState's Camp X-Ray at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
The pair have been held for more than a year without being charged.
