Vic: Milk, bread, enrol to vote
From today, Victorians will be able to nip down to the shops to enrol to vote.
Under a new partnership between Victorian Electoral Commission and supermarket chainColes, shoppers will be able to pick up electoral enrolment forms in more than 100 groceryshops across the state.
Electoral Commissioner COLIN BARRY says the initiative will make it much easier forVictorians to enrol or update their details for state and federal elections.
About 3.2 million Victorians are enrolled to vote.
Coles state manager JOHN RYAN says the supermarket chain readily agreed to the electoralcommission's request to carry enrolment forms.
